    Stop the boats!

    The Navy should be patrolling the English Channel. We should politely collect any people in boats in the channel and drop them back on the French beaches. While we're at it, stop paying the French Millions to deal with it at their end.

    Lower the £90k VAT threshold to £0

    Lowering the VAT registration threshold to £0 would create a fairer marketplace for honest businesses. As a self-employed tradesperson who charges VAT, my prices are automatically 20% higher than competitors who stay below the £90,000 threshold. Many deliberately limit their turnover, ask customers to buy materials directly, or work cash in hand to avoid VAT altogether. This leaves VAT-registered businesses at a significant disadvantage despite contributing more in taxes. The current system rewards those who avoid or minimise their tax obligations while penalising compliant businesses. Requiring all businesses to charge VAT would create a level playing field and encourage greater tax compliance.

    General Election Now

    Nobody voted for Andy Burnham. As Nice the guy as he seems to be, he's already pushing his agenda, making changes that none of us voted for. The only fair and reasonable way of swapping our leader should be with another general election. The Government should call a General Election Now!

    Sort The E-Bike Scourge

    Black balaclavas, no insurance helmet or road tax sound familiar? The police should be given powers and equipment to stop these bikes, then harsh punishments including confiscation or hefty fines to be paid before returning the bike. Innocent people have been hurt in collisions and it seems like they ride round lawlessly.

    Review Procedures & Processes

    Money is wasted at an alarming rate within the NHS. I think that a nationwide review of processes and procedures should be carried out, making changing as seen necessary to make the systems more effective for patients and more financially efficient.

    Scrap HS2 ASAP

    HS2 should be scrapped because the project no longer represents good value for taxpayers and has failed to deliver on many of its original promises. Initially promoted as a way to improve capacity, reduce journey times, and stimulate economic growth across the country, the scheme has been repeatedly delayed, significantly reduced in scope, and has experienced dramatic cost increases. With the cancellation of large sections of the route, many of the anticipated regional benefits have been lost, leaving a much smaller railway at a much higher cost. The billions of pounds still required to complete HS2 could instead be invested in upgrading existing railways, improving local transport networks, repairing roads, and supporting public services such as healthcare and education. These investments would benefit far more people across the UK than a single high-speed line serving relatively few destinations. There are also environmental concerns. Although rail travel is generally more sustainable than driving or flying, constructing HS2 has involved extensive land clearance, habitat destruction, and significant carbon emissions from construction activities. Given the project's reduced scope, it is increasingly difficult to justify these environmental costs. Scrapping HS2 would prevent further spending on a project with diminishing returns and allow government resources to be redirected towards transport improvements that provide greater value, wider geographic benefits, and more immediate improvements for communities across the United Kingdom.
